Analyze any page from your browser

A browser extension and a bookmarklet, both talking to this server and saving into your library.

Browser extension Chrome · Edge · Brave · Firefox

  1. Download the extension (.zip) and unzip it.
  2. Chrome / Edge / Brave: open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and choose the folder.
    Firefox (115+): open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox → Load Temporary Add-on… → pick manifest.json.
  3. Log in and create an API token, then open the extension's settings and paste it. The server address https://reasonably.co is already filled in.

What it does: analyze the current page (sending the page as you see it, so paywalled and logged-in pages work), only the selected text, or a link from the right-click menu; shows progress for long documents; shows whether you've analyzed a page before; optional toolbar badge with the quality score. Your token is stored locally in the browser and sent only to this server.

Bookmarklet no install

Drag a button to your bookmarks bar. Click it on any page to open a confirmation page here — nothing is analyzed until you press Analyze.

Analyze this page sends only the address (this server fetches the page). Send page content sends what your browser rendered, for paywalled or logged-in pages; a few sites block it with a strict security policy — use the first one there. You'll be asked to log in if needed.

Use the API yourself

curl -X POST https://reasonably.co/api/analyze \\
  -H "Authorization: Bearer aa_…" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \\
  -d '{"url": "https://example.com/article"}'

Also: {"html": "…", "url": "…"} or {"text": "…"} to send content directly, GET /api/lookup?url=…, GET /api/jobs/<id>, GET /api/me. See the README for the full reference.
